Susan Carpenter, PhD

Susan Carpenter, PhD is an Associate Professor of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC). She received her BA and PhD from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland where she worked with Prof. Luke O’Neill. She completed her postdoctoral work at University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School, under the mentorship of Prof. Kate Fitzgerald, and at the University of California, San Francisco, under the mentorship of Prof. Michael McManus. Dr. Carpenter’s current research focuses on the role of long non-coding RNAs in inflammatory signaling.
